The Los Angeles Times reports that at least one confirmed patient at the Children’s Dental Group in Anaheim, California was diagnosed with mycobacterium abscessus.  This bacteria can cause dental abscesses and also harm soft tissue and bone in the body.  The Orange County Health Care Agency traced the source of these infections to contaminated dental water.   The dental group has begun to review and test systems, equipment, water, and other elements in the office.

THIS Dental Unit Waterline (DUWL) Treatment that Can Help Prevent Bacterial Contamination for 365 days!

  • Don’t let contaminated DUWL’s affect your patients or your practice’s reputation!  According to OSAP, research shows that the extremely narrow design of waterline tubing promotes water stagnation and bacterial accumulation. Treating your DUWL’s to ensure they meet the EPA standard of ≤ 500CFU/mL for safe drinking water is critical.  A single installation of a product like the DentaPure® Waterline Purification for Bottle System can give your practice 365 days of safe, compliant water.  All claims are based on use with potable water.
    • Uses the same proven technology developed for NASA to ensure water consumed in space is safe from harmful levels of bacteria.
    • It’s easy!  No tablets. No shocking. No distilled water requirement. No dangerous silver. No special disposal requirements.  No patient allergy concerns.  No harsh chemicals.
